im juz curious.. riding without a coolant in d radiator.. what harmful effects does it have on d engine.. ?? i changed my radiator water pump(dunno whats iz called) as my coolant leaked into my engine oil recently.. now d engine oil isnt milky white anymore.. but it seems that my bike get extra overheated after travelling (eg woodlands to clementi).. iz tat normal..? also i dun open full throttle or ride "hard" when im riding.. any clues??

riding without coolant will result in the engine overheating and piston siezure. if the bike like riding hotter than usual, better check the coolant level. one common mistake is checking from the coolant reserve. always open the radiator cover to check as it may seem full in the reserve tank but empty in the radiator.

WR200? Is it the impeller 'fan' dat you changed, or is it jus replacing the oil/coolant seal?
Cos some wr200's 'fan' will come off it's shaft, causing the 'fan' to not run. When the shaft turns w/o the fan spinning, the coolant dun flow.
Or well, it may jus be some leaking somewhere, or like wat they say, coolant lowin the radiators.

all i can say is that i have never seen nor experience an overheated wr200 (certainly not from woodlands to clementi)

theres a problem somewhere and I think its a major problem (if it has to do with the cooling of the bike, its better that you take instant precaution)

my advice is, get it to a bike shop (a good one) soon and let them trouble shoot

You mean the red over heat (temp) light appear at the speedo?

If so check the radiator, maybe need to flush, mostly the bike until more than five years might have this prob. Did you use coolant with distilled water or just plain tap water alone for all these years? Corrosion deposits in the cooling system can reduce cooling efficiency.

Is there a leak in your cooling system, check the levels.

Lastly maybe your head gasket and block damaged because you rode the bike while overheated during the waterpump failure. It takes around maybe a minute to damage these components during overheat.

Want to be sure, just go hard ride, full throttle your bike, sure can tell. Do this at your own risk!

It's time to spend money man....
