Helo guys... I juz change a new set of sprokets (14/45) and chain. When i try to pick up, at gear 2 feel like sumthin stuck at the rear pipe. When i try to open throttle it only goes up to 30km/h. At 6 gear, it only reach up 2 90km/h and the feeling and sound of the engine is like as if i'm travelling at the speed of 140km/h. whats wrong wif the engine??

Aniwae beginnig of the year, my coolant leaked and the colour of the engine oil is milky. But now the level of coolant in my coolant reservoir does not change. Is sumthin stuck in the reservoir?? or is it like dat?? i'm confused. i need ur help!!

sounds like ur powervalve is broken..ur exhaust air cudn't flow out fully due to the broken valve..dat's the cause off power loss on ur bike ...go check ur power valve...

wats ur ride? a 2 stroke? I suppposed the coolant is getting into ur gearbox oil making it milky. should be a blown head gasket or O ring. get it fixed asap. As for the gearing thingy, Is this the same sprocket size u used the last time?

If ur pipe is stock, how is it possible that u changed ur packing? I understand that it's all steel mesh inside. only can decarbonise. not repack. As for the sprocket size. Increased rear sprocket size will decrease ur top speed but increase torque. (Pulling power) Choose ur sprockets to fit ur needs. this way u save fuel and lowers engine damage. hope this helps. Smile

I think its ur valve which cause the problem.. either ur valve need some servicing or like what Dirt_rebel said, ur powervalve might be broken.. Go check it out... Ur valve could not open fully causing loud sound and also lower top end speed.. correct me if i m wrong.

The coolant reservoir is just an overflow. If the level doesnt change then good, u are not overheating your bike.

Btw, are you still in the forum? Some of your questions have been answered but no response from you leh. Can tell us whats the outcome?

Welcome back. I'm a fellow worker like you too, understand the busy-ness of it all ....

Regarding the sprockets, best to check with others riding the same bike and having same set-up with you whats the performance of their bike. Power loss or different power output behavious (your top-speed may be low, but pick-up may be good) is dependent on jetting and air leaks; these factors will affect your bike performance.

For example, a dirty air filter may be choking your engine, so less power output, etc ... .

Rear pipe with packing is loud ... aftermarket pipes are usually louder than stock. If its SUPER EMBARASSINGLY loud, could be an air leak in the exhaust system somewhere.

If I were you, I'd clean up or check the whole bike - carb, chain, wheel bearings, air filter, decarb the header, check for leaks in header, before analysing what's wrong again.

All the best!

The exhaust system is usually split into 2 parts. The rear one which you changed the packing recently is called a muffler or silencer. The remaining portion connecting the block/cylinder/engine to the muffler/silencer is known as the stomack/belly for 2-strokes, and header for 4-strokes
