although i am new to bikes, i can try to explain as i do my own tuning
your carb mixture might be too lean or too rich
either will make your bike slow
check your spark plug to read if your mixture is too rich or too lean
too rich mixture will cause high fuel consumption
too lean mixture will have no power, and might cause overheating
searh more about spark plugs only
different tuning of richness or leanness will result in torque in different rpm range

| QUOTE (Blurz @ May 28 2004, 06:46 PM) change ur valve dude... v force 2 highly recommended |
does changing the valve affect the mileage..my mileage now quite bad..about 120+ hit reserve already.. |
well its assume to give more power more respone.... if u ride on high waves all the time its sure no fuel consumption issue...

i've been hearing (or reading) bout tuning of carb. Where do you guys learn all these things from ?... trial & Error ? and talking about this carb, i have sent my carb for servicing 4 times, and still leaking. Everytime park for more then an hour. Must pull the choke to start. Can some kind soul give an advice for some

exhaust leak is a common problem. other than that could be air filter needs to cleaned. spark plugs need to change. or maybe u need to do servicing liao.
