hey guys, just wondering if you all have answers to my questions.

1) i washed my bike a few days ago and i found the chain very dry after that. i do not have a chain lubricant right now so how do i temporary go about it? leave the bike till i have time to go to workshop to buy? because i will only be free to go on saturday.

2) the bike seems very shaky and loose whenever i ride it. does it mean anything?

3) the rear brake seems can't really "eat", is it the problem of the drum brake or is it worn out?

4) im riding an XL200 and i need help! like someone to guide me, i scared go workshop kena scam. haha!

Thanks guys!! Smile

Chain: ANY OIL oso can... engine oil oso can... sewing machine oil oso can... WD40 and RP7 is not recommended tho...

Shaky loose? rear bearing or swingarm bearing might be dead or steering cone... or tire not enough pressure

But now i totally don't have any oil with me because i bought my bike on saturday! how ah, should i wait till when im free then ride the bike to workshop and leave it as it is now and don't ride it?

Hmm.. sorry but enlighten me on rear bearing or swingarm bearing. I'm a new rider. haha! seems like its coming from the engine though..

Should i pump to what is stated on the tire, the PSI level? or lesser?

#1: Put some lube on your chain.
#2. Just put in about 20psi in your tire and then take the bike to a shop for a thorough check up
#3. U ask somemore...I will send Marlboroman to screw u...hahahahaha...
Hey, bro...do the two things I advised you...

When you get a bike, the minimum you must do is to replace the following, and don't take the shop's or owner's words for it. :
- all fluids, ie. engine oil, brake fluid (if applicable)
- spark plug
- oil, and clean/change air filter
- brake pads / shoes
All these should cost no more than $100

Under what condition ? speed, load..etc ? What bike did you ride previous ? XL is quite a gentle bike so any speed below 80kph should be smooth and stable.

First, the drum brake is quite shitty which could be a good thing for a scrambler on offroad. When you depress the rear brake level, how much does it go down ? At the rear wheel where the brake cable connects to the rear drum level, can you turn the butterfly screw clockwise so the the brake can bite earlier. My advise is to replace the brake shoes which is within the drum. Don't get the chiong brands, go for original Honda.

You can down to Suriya Curry House (along Upper Serangoon Road) this Friday night from 9pm - midnight, to meet us, and we will give you a professional and honest review on the condition of your bike.

If I turn up, can the ultimate wise man give some feedback on my sorry excuse for a bike? Mr. Green

Since you are known to always go out of your way to help, I assume you will bend over to retrieve the information?
