Hey guys, what's the reason behind when i whack my bike using the 1st and 2nd gear, there will be like a jerky feeling or coughing thingy.what's the cause of this problem and how much will it cost me to fix it?the feeling of it is just not that nice.btw, sometimes it's jerky but sometimes nothing is wrong. It only happens on the 1st and 2nd gear.the rest are perfect.

This happens to me when I first got my bike.. the prob went away after I changed the stock end to a pc end.. But I believe it got something to do with the carb, have you try tuning the mixture screw?
Sometimes this will also happen when u ride before warming the bike up.

mixture screw is beside the idling knob which requires a flat screwdriver to turn. But I suggest asking a pro to adjust for you to get the right setting.
The standard steps are:
turn the mixture screw until slightly tightened,
turn out 1.5 turns (anti clockwise),
adjust idle knob to desired rpm,
adjust mixture screw in 1/8 increments or decrements to achieve highest rpm,
adjst idle knob again to attain highest idle rpm.
correct me if wrong...

Check your jetting size and carb. Maybe your powervalve but since its only 1st and 2nd gear shld be carb settings. Air/fuel mixture.

If it only occurs without warming up the bike then should be normal, coz mine also the same.
After warm up is ok?
dun think the bike shop will charge for the adjustment, coz they can do it in a few mins. Juz tell them what you told us here and ask them to adjust the carb setting for you to see if its the prob from there.
Meanwhile maybe you can try to screw the mixture screw yourself in 1/8 increment (counterclockwise) to open it up more. See if it helps.

Yeah warming up the bike is essential for longevity. Imagine waking up and sprinting without breakfast or any stretching.

Prob due to the air/fuel mix ratio that is going on in the carb.. Like wat everyone suggests, check setting, wash the carb before moving on to the valve.
