Hello all.
Well there's not much I can do about these other races even as I was the first to announce our race on the 7th of March, these organizers have no manners or respect for the riders or other organizers. However let me remind you all what you can expect if you come to the Sungai Tekah Cross Country race. This is a cross country event with 3 different course's, novice is about 4 km, intermediate about 8 km and expert about 9 km. All tracks are single track which go through open grass land, jungle, sand, rocks and clay. There is a wide range of riding conditions. The novice track can be ridden by a beginner with reasonable fitness, the expert track is for good riders and intermediate is for those in between. This track was not built by a tractor or bulldozer does not flood and can be ridden in just about all weather conditions. We try to make this race as fun and interesting for the riders as possible, We stick to the program and time table, no silly speeches while you sit out in the sun in your riding gear and you can wear anything on the podium as long as you wear something. We take every ones safety seriously. There are no cash prizes but every rider does get oil and there are prizes and trophy's/medals for the first 5 riders in each class. This is not a motocross race. So far in the last four cross country races that we have run there has only been one person injured that needed medical assistance ( injured little finger ). This is a race that you will learn from and you should have fun at the same time. Come along and enjoy.
Regards Macspeeed.

REspect to Brett and team for his race.....very well organised with proper timing, race schedule and a nice track.....its a pity too much races happening at the same time and the kota race yesterday took every bit of me and most likely will be missing out the race to nurse a battled old body of mine

I think it is sad that there is never any races in Malaysia but for some reason on one weekend there is three events at the same time.?? It would be nice to see three weeks of racing! don't you think?
Brett had informed everyone that his event will be placed on May 29th along time ago.
I was going to do Mus event back on May 1st but as he has always done in the past is change dates, cancel etc etc..
I don't know what it is with Malaysia, don't know why everyone can't work together and make "motocross & enduro" bigger and better than what it is now.
We need more people like "macspeed" in the sport who have there head on the right way.

mr. putra already developed motox website (www.scramriders.com) for malaysian riders as reference & for race organizer advertise their event for free. but no body want to use it wisely. and not forget in facebook also some motocross lover already create a group for malaysia motocross
for me current practice is not organzier educate riders, but the riders educate back organizer. if you guys support brett please do so.

Thanks to MacSpeed and Mrs MacSpeed for yet another memorable event. Sungai Tekah enduro's are always well organised and they are great fun. The races are special because it is the riders that really benefit. McSpeed and his small band of volunteer Marshall's always make really good tracks that are created to challenge every class of rider. So riders get a real opportunity to improve their skills. That is a prize that many riders overlook.
I speak for most riders in saying that we really appreciate the effort that goes into making a successful race event. And I applaud all race organisers for their efforts in this regard. The planning and organising is considerable. Just as organisers are vital to successful events so are the riders. Having events that clash mean that the events are not as successful as they could have been because the rider numbers are spread too thin. The net result is that the organisers lose as their efforts dont reap the rewards - and the riders lose because they get to ride in less events. So the sport suffers overall. A pity
Hopefully this thread of messages will assist in greater coordination of events - and we riders can then support the organisers more effectively.
Macspeed - it was a great 2 days of riding. Thank you

Remember that there are organisers and organisers ... In the case of Ipoh (Sungai Tekah) and the MSSC events, those organisers are enthusiasts with jobs, families and committments.
Putting on these events requires co-operation of land owners for a start and then considerable hours invested on the admin side as well as all of the physical effort to lay out a track in order to host the event.
Takes a hell of a lot of enthusiasm to find this extra time to make things happen and I feel that the riding community needs to get behind and support these events to ensure that they remain financially viable and continue to be regular fixtures that we can put in the calender and plan ahead for, as we have come to expect and enjoy.
Big thanks to you Lord and Lady MacSpeed for the weekend and a note of appreciation as well to our guys here in the MSSC who also give up their time as enthusiasts for the general enjoyment of others. This is how the sport grows and moves forward.

Sounds like the event was great! be nice to see some photos as I'm in Saudi Arabia.. anyone got any?
Also think it is about time all riders and organisers get together and we all start a club etc etc and get everyone on the same page. Work towards a motocross/enduro schedule for events for each year, don't matter if big or small.. if this does not happen we will start to see more of 5 events on the same weekend.
Big thumbs up's to MACSPEED for all his hard work he puts in for all the riders!

Hey Robo...hows Saudi treating you? You missed a great event bro... hope to see you at the next one.
Huge thanks to Mr and Mrs Mac for putting on another great event, and letting me crash at their pad. Event was on time, well marked and well staffed by the volunteer time keepers and marshalls. Track was awesome fun and it was really challenging in the heat. Bloody shame about the multiple events on one day nonsense.
Oh yeah...wheres all the pics of the race...saw loads of cameras about?

What a great weekend up in Ipoh and my first ever event having just recently joined the sport a couple months ago!
I had no idea what to expect when arriving on Saturday afternoon at the race location and it was then I started to understand a little more about the huge effort, planning and time which has to go into running these events. Great to see a few friendly faces up there from my few rides at One Tree Hill, and even better to meet a load more riders, organisers, supporters and one particular marshall who helped me out when I was about ready to finish the race early and encouraged me to get back on and finish the race!
An excellent event, great people and all of them willing to share advice, stories and encourage us newbies on and off the track!
A huge thanks to Mr and Mrs Mac for fantastic hospitality over the weekend and a great variety of riding conditions of the track which I'm looking forward to working on....
I have a few photos and video clips - is there a Facebook page or anything to post them on?

Hello all.
Thanks for the letters/posts of support I will pass this on to all who helped run this event. With the turnout that we got we managed to brake even. Thank you Lady Macspeeed, Peter Gan, Silkolene Oil, Bridgestone Tires, Lim Fang Yeong, Maju Perak Energy Resources S/B and all the marshals for your help. Thank you to all the riders who came to the event. We are going to post the results soon when we figure out how to. Ben maybe you can post a link to the photos and video. I am looking for the photographers who took photos of the event and will post as I receive them. We had 9 non local riders who rode the event and we didn't have to pay them to come and ride, they and the other riders who entered our event know where to go for a good ride and a good time.
Regards Macspeeed.
