Brett, if we get enough people from the Singapore contingent can you get us a dedicated tent to avoid everyone having to bring their awnings?
I'm recovering from knee surgery so might have to poof it and ride in the intermediates (which is where I rightfully belong in any event!)

Hello All,
For those riders that need accomodation during the weekend, we suggest that you make booking now. The race weekend is the start of Malaysia's School Holidays and also Ipoh race day. It should get very busy.
Regards,
MacSpeeed

Hello all.
I got a call yesterday from Mus ( yes he is the one who is running the race in JB) asking if I would change my race date as not to clash with his race, I announced our race on the 7th of March, my reply, two letters.
NO.
Mus over the last 12 years or more has made a habit of making his events clash with others and on many of those changed his original date to make sure they clashed with other events like he has done with the Sungai Tekah Cross Country on the 29th of May. How does this help the sport ?

At least Mus is out there making events happen, but he really should head up to macspeeds events and take a few notes.
1. Setting a date and sticking too it helps everyone. Changing dates at the last minute does not.
2. Having the track prepped and ready to go BEFORE race day is very handy...doing the final track build ON race day is silly.
3. Having races on time and sticking to the schedule throughout the day is very good. Having races delayed (sometimes by nearly an hour WHILE the riders are on the startline in full gear) or canceled or run at dusk etc...not so good.
4. Arriving at the (completed) track, getting a good, quick briefing, and getting stuck in to the riding right away = fun. Getting to the track, still being built, sitting around for hours, having races delayed, cancelled etc = bloody annoying.
Like I said, good on him for putting the races on, but I find it hard to get motivated for his races anymore due to the number of previous let downs. I was tepmted to give him another go for this upcoming race...but he changed the date (!!) late in the game and now it clashes with Macspeeds event (!??!).

Relax Wendy
let him run his event and you run yours, it wont make the slightest difference to the success or failure of either event....not a bit

It would be nice to do both events ( if Mus addressed previous problems ), however I can't help thinking that Mus considers other events as competition to his events so he makes them clash forcing riders who may want to do both chose one or the other, these riders are the ones who lose out. Like I said before Mus has been doing this ever since I been racing here. Mus your welcome to reply.
Regards Macspeeed.
