Hi Everyone!
Final round for the year. The format will be the same but the terrain will be very different.
This round the whole race will be held on what is known as stage 2. This area is across the road from the hanger.
This area is much more open and not so technical. As such this race will be faster and more flowing the challenge will not be just the terain but also your stamina. This will be a great race for all the MXers out there to see how they fair against our current crop of enduro talent.
This terrain is much more newbie friendly for those who want to try for the first time.
The pits will most likely be on the road verge just along from the hanger and at this stage tents will be provided but this is still to be confirmed.
Sign in at the track will open at 08:30 and finish at 09:30 and there will be no more entries after that time.
If you're late bad luck so make sure your alarm is set and you’re on time.
Entry fee for MSSC club members $50
Entry fee non MSSC club members $60
Entry fee Malaysian Residents $70rm
Program for the day
Sign on 08:30 - 09:30
Riders briefing 09:30
Novice race start 10:00
Expert race start 11:15
Intermediate race start 11:45
Prize giving 14:00
Format is the same as round 3.
Novice 1 hour
Intermediate 1 1/2 hour
Expert 2 hour
Due to the feed back from the recent race held by Pete we are considering a teams catagory.
This class will be two riders on two bikes or sharing 1 bike, racing for 2 hours.
The riders will take turns to complete laps and hand over to their partner at the end of each lap.
This class will start at the same time as the experts.
Entry fee remains the same as other classes ($50/rider)
Please advise in the forum if there is any interest in the teams class.
Race is open to all comers and all types of bikes. A scooter with nobby tires can also participate in the race! We do however want to make sure its safe and fun for everyone so make sure your bike is in reasonably good condition and you have a helmet, eye protection, and boots as a minimum.
Going to be another great race, see you then.

Head out to the KTM shop join up with the MSSC and then you can get the paperwork you need. You'll also enjoy a discount at sign on for being a club member.

Actually, MSSC paperwork is temporary import papers for malaysia only. For Singapore side, if the bike is road registered all you need is the current road tax disc. If it is laid up it is not allowed to be removed from the registered address.....there is no paperwork that i know of that will get you round that issue, other than paying the road tax.
Otherwise you need to register the bike with the LTA as a race bike, using SMSA paperwork, which means you have no COE or road tax issues.

Hmm, where exactly is this stage 2? Is it the open area where we usually start (the one with the hills for expert loop) or is it across the road, beyond the entrance to Nusa grounds?
I'm still wondering how big one loop would be, seeing that it's gonna be an open trail. Sure is gonna be one hot ride under the sun!

There is quite a big area there and I'm planning to cut a few new tracks through it so we should have something pretty good I think. Don't panic too much about the details just make sure your free to race and your bike is good to go.
Won't be too hot because unlike the usual track you won't be groveling in a mud steam bath sweating so much that your swimming in your riding gear.
This time you'll be moving a bit faster and have nice airflow!

Its not going to be a desert race and the speed will not be an issue for any 2 stroke. There's not going to be any top gear flat out stuff. I want to keep it safe so it will be flowing not a full on sprint. Any bike will be fine.

Hi Everyone,
Very successful day today designing the track for the race on the 28th.
We have found a 7.5km loop that I think everyone will find fun. We had a couple of new riders join us and they stuggled with a couple of the small drops so we will make small changes when we do the final marking to help make it very ridable.
The track is completely 100% different from the other 3 rounds and will be an interesting change for everyone I'm sure. It fun and flowing with a few places where you need to think as there are a lot of options in terms of line choice.
The pits will not be at the hanger and will instead be on the left hand side of the road about 1km futher down the road from the hanger. Don't go to the hanger on race morning keep driving and you'll see the pits as you go down the road. We'll be renting some tents so that there is shade at the pits.
The race schedule will be as follows:
08:00 - 09:00 Sign on (important that you're on time)
9:15 Riders Briefing
10:00 Expert and Team start
10:30 Intermediate Start
11:00 Novice start
12:00 Checkered flag for all classes.
We want to finish early for this race as it usually rains in the afternoon at this time of year.
Note again that we are going to have a team catagory for this race if there is enough interest.
This can be two riders sharing a bike or two riders on two bikes.
The riders can either take turns to complete a lap then hand over to their team mate or any other configuration they like.
The team race will be 2hrs. So if you share evenly you'll probably ride about an hour each.
Two weeks to go!
Looking forward to it!!
