First accessory you'll have to get is some Maxima Castor 927 oil for that thing it smells so good! So good in fact that I put it in my lawn mower!

Sounds like theres a strong interest going on here.
Well, i understand tuas is long gone. (So, maybe lets not talk about e past.)
But just being curious, would you think there'll be a 2nd chance for mx/enduro to grow in singapore?
Take mssc carnivals for example, or the last tuas enduro race. We’re talking 60-70 participants. And the numbers don’t go dip from the last races.
The numbers are definitely growing, not too sure about the places.
In other words, We have interest in SG but not 1 official place to ride.
Or, is it just malaysia for the rest of our lives and the next generation and the next...?
Imagine with this interest, but focus in SG itself.
Maybe, what we need is a basic track. Talking something like with simple basic safe tabletops, trial sections and trail friendly. Something a xr200 can join?
With a basic track, I think the direction for the sport would be set up right.
I’m thinking a WORCS like style track in TM would be awesome. Haha.
In short, I think riders are growing. There are 70 over SG riders taking part in enduro races. Only thing is that it’s not held in Singapore. So maybe we should?
Anyway, it’ll be interesting to hear your views on this.
So throw it on the floor guys.
Cheers.

This is something that comes up time and time again.
Most riders in Sg (and this forum) are trail riders who like to take part in the occasional enduro race so long as it isn't too expensive. This can only really happen in Malaysia as local races must be held with the inclusion of SMSA and this makes them expensive so the number of participants drops greatly.
The last track at Tuas was leased land from the Govt but it's simply too expensive to be maintained with the number of riders willing to "pay to play" locally. Unless the Govt assigns a plot of land for Dirt biking and makes it TOTALLY FREE it's just not gonna work.
Malaysia is close, the are more choices so the riders don't get bored, the tracks are better and it's much CHEAPER!
There's little point trying to "develop" the scene in Singapore unless you can get 10x more riders who want to ride, race and are willing to pay for it.
Just make the most of what's available.

Yeah I do know that this have been brought up many times. Also, I do know that there are a lot of factors hindering the sport from growing.
So after all, are we all gonna just agree that there will not be a official local track/ local race for the rest of time in Singapore?
I guess there are solutions, lt need not be a permanent official track. It could be like a race series held 4 times a year. At e end of the day, it’s held in Singapore for the sport to grow.
Clearly, most sg riders are more trail inclined. If its mainly trail/xc/enduro style event maybe add a few safe tabletops, u can get xr’s, kdx, wr2 u name it u got it. And really that’s where e riders are.
I mean the regular guys who drive their vans and trailers in and out m’sia is quite painful actually. Tolls are a lot of money for these vehicles. Permit/ fuel/ time.
So if race fee could be reasonably priced. I think we could have it going on from here.

Whatever it is, SINCE beginning of last year, i've been hearing lotsa stories of everyone wanting to RIDE AND TO RACE. At the end of the day, more reasonings were made instead of Efforts. NOW THAT EVERYONE KNOWS LARKIN IS COMING UP, I wonder how long is the hype goin to last, i'll just let be.

Gnarly does have a point. If 70 riders care to make the trip across Malaysia to race, imagine the turnout if races are hold here.
But then, you're back to the perennial issue of limited land space and high cost of staging a race here. It's too big a road block to overcome, unless....
Ok we need a hero, anybody knows one?
