Guys... here's some info I know....

The race in Negeri Sembilan will be held at Bahau/Serting, in Jempol district.

But, I just received a sms that the 1st round was postponed to other date. I dont know when.

The race will use 4x4 rally format. You'll race with time n not your buddy or other riders cos they'll start the race one by one.... There are penalty if you make a mistake and I dont know what criteria for point deduction...

The race organizer is AMC Event Management run by Ron Teoh.

It's all what I know.

Hi I'm interested in joining this race but won't be able to make it for round 1 this weekend. Will I still be able to participate in subsequent rounds? Also, how do I go about getting a SMSA National Enduro Competition License?

Hey,

Does any one how the regulation is compared to a european enduro? I have been racing nay years in France and I would love to enter this kind of event as I'm getting a KTM soon.

Can a foreigner get a AAM license or shall I get my french license again as I'm going back to France by the end of the month?

Thks
Olivier

The AAM banned most of the expats and Singaporean riders from racing in Malaysian motocross, which is why there is no Malaysian MX championship this year...not sure how they will react to you trying to get a license...but if they do give you a license, dont win or get on the podium....they will ban you after that I reckon!

Good luck

Hi Olivier, I don't think there is going to be any Enduro or MX race sanctioned by AAM this Year. Furthermore AAM are very strict with the licence, you may end up with all the paperworks done and rejected on the race day for unknown reasons...
As for Enduro race in Malaysia, they are not following the real enduro format with timed stages. It is more like X-Country race, 1 or 2 hrs depending on the event and category.
I would strongly recommend you to enter the Nusajaya event or the next Sungai Tekah enduro on June 13. Those are well organized fun events, no licence required, no headache ...

Thanks for the information. I also contacted the organizer who said he cancelled it because not enough riders!

Unfortunately I won't be ready for the 13th of June, just back from France, getting the bike after that and still recovering from an ACL knee surgery!
I found some video about this X-country and I like the format. The place looks very nice and it's cool riding.

However I'm looking forward for other events of that type, like GNCC or endurance like we have in europe.

Of course if no license is required it's even better!

I'm in fact also active member of a 4x4 club in Kuching (Sarawak) and there is a plan to organize by the end of this year a combined event 4x4, and off-road bikes (3 days event). This will be on a day license base so everyone is welcomed, including MX bikes. We want to open it to as many as possible.
I will keep you inform on the dates and format of the event. I'm right now working on it. For those who don't know Kuching, there are hundred of kms of trails at door step of the city and it's very mountainous, so very challenging and interesting.

Feel free to ask questions!
