bro. Same problem with me. Was about to start a new thread on "how to reduce spark plug fouling". Maybe you can change the title.

The recommended 2t ratio is correct according to the manual. I burn 1-2 spark plugs per ride but that's becoz I was dumb enough to put 300ml of 2t per full tank. HAHA.. well, the other way is to re-jet. Get it to run leaner. I've been doing some reading up to reduce this problem and it's either:

- 2t ratio
- gasket worn (too little or too much oxygen in the chamber)
- air filter not clean
- jetting issues (fuel mixture too rich)

I've also read that as a temp fix, can use a hotter spark plug if it's carbon fouling (sooty or wet black plugs). Otherwise, can keep the RPM high to burn off the carbon deposits. Have to keep clutching in and revving the bike if we go slow or stop the bike. I'm going to slowly zoom in all the other factors before deciding to re-jet my bike.

I've heard that some KTMs also have this problem. Can anyone share? I'm a noob at 2 strokers.

Haha! I know! But in the forums overseas, the ang mos never say much about gas gas fouling up so fast. I know some KTMs also eat plugs, but I've also seen a lot of other KTM2s that go on and on without a change of plug. Surely, it's a factor we can try to fix.. Will update you soon. When ride man? Must see each other's ride.. I'm still a klutz with the gg..

Most likely, carb is faulty. Change jetting. If still cannot, get a new carb....

I personally love PWM.... and the spark plug last up to a year. Use iridium sparkplug. It produces a better spark and it will eliminate your sparkplug problem but you're not really solving the problem. The best is to change the carb. I guess $450-$500....

Bro, we are talking about 2 strokes here. So your sales doesn't make sense here. You will have better luck at the classified section.
