Ones_Co aka Lawrence, DRZ with P plate

It brings me sorrow to break this sad news to my fellow slackriders. Lawrence also known as Ones_Co in the forum, passed away in an accident on 10 Dec 2009.

He seldom post in the forum but probably you guys may have seen him during kopi sessions. He is probably most well known as the guy riding DRZ 400 SM with P plate (Singapore P plate on the rear and Malaysian P plate on his front fork).

I have so much to say about him. He is a rider with crazy antics and never say die attitude. I hail him the king of motard. He conquers trails, nasty hill climbs and ride MX with road tyre, and even pillion his mother all the way up to Cambodia, often reiterating the point "It's the rider, not the bike."

He was supposed to commence another long distance trip to China with another fellow slackrider, Psychex this 18th Dec. It is a trip that he has been looking forward to. Although he is gone, the trip will continue as planned to complete a dream he started.

Rest In Peace my dear friend. You are the one who got me into this whole dirt biking sports. I thought I was too short to ride a scrambler, you taught me otherwise. The first time I tried off-roading, was on your bike with you following behind. You train me to pick up your fallen bike, which I still couldn't pick up. We pillioned each other at Endau Rompin and got into real muddy situation. From going off-roading on my vespa to finally riding an actual dirt bike and when I thought the ktm was too tough for me to handle, your words of encouragement had kept me going. I will miss the crazy rides with you.

His body will be resting at Blk 422 Bedok North Road from 11 Dec 09 around evening onwards. Funeral will be on Sunday.

was shocked to get the sms. Stil remember him as the guy dat went larkin wif his drz n a box. Friendly. Good friendly n humorous man go to heaven. Godspeed!

Was shock to have received the sms. Wei Jie, thanks for fulfulling his dream. Was waiting for the report from you guys come 18th Dec 09.

First met Lawrence at the trip I organised to Endau Rompin where Juvena was his pillion (She rode rider at times with Lawrence pillion). The mud fall was a memory and will be with me all my life. I named him the fat one with juvena as the muddy one......

Rest in Peace my friend...So Sad.

Lawrence was a friendly and warm fellow who even when completely exhausted riding some impossible hill ( with motard tyres!) still had a smile that could melt an iceberg.

I like many others must consider myself fortunate to have met and known Lawrence.

Really sad to hear this news.

Always a nice friendly face, I look forward to seeing at the usual kopi sessions and trail rides and even the odd MX rides at Larkin. Lawrence was a leader with a positive attitude and very passionate about dirt biking. He was my DRZ400 guru - I would sms him questions on DRZ400 or riding-where and I love his never-say-cannot-be-done answers. I loved his positive attitude in life.

A huge loss for the dirt bike community in Singapore!!!
