I encounter a problem whereby, my RPM seems t stuck at 4-5. It can't go higher then 5. I try to open throttle fully but instead only loud engine sound comes out and the RPM still stays at 5. I wonder what went wrong. Any ideas?

My clutch plates seems ok i think. When changing gear, there's no vibration or jerking at the gear shifter. Some people say, water has got into my tank and carburator due to raining these days. I really have no idea what went wrong.

Bro,
Is it a new bike?Do you know normally small Honda bikes comes with a restricter which is place inside the carburetor outlet manifold. This is to prevent overreving the engine. This thing looks like a 50 coin except there a hole in the centre. The mech.will remove this once the bike break in period is over.Cheers. Cool

HaHa. It's an old bike bro. FS plate. COE ending end of 2010. I was expecting the bike would be giving problems around this period. But i just want to clear my doubt so that I would not get cooked by some mechs Laughing

Now the problem gets worse. The RPM getting lower ever since I ride when the problem starts. Now I think the RPM stuck at 2-3. I think I'm going to tow my bike man. Too slow to ride aready. No power to accelerate.

This bike does not have this part.

Just get a mechanic to check your bike ,it would not be solved even if know whats wrong .

U still need to fix it.

The bike is only problem free if u take good care of it .regardless of age.

Oh well, about my problem. Went to workshop, it was my clutch plates which are worn. Got it changed to a new one, they did not have the original XR200 clutch plates but instead replace it with Yamaha. LoL.

Tried to fit it Honda clutch plates for Phantom ones, but could not fit.

Cost me about $135 for workmanship, Engine Oil and the clutch plates.
