Hi there , i recently found out something. A friend of mine went to a bike shop and find a bike that he was interested in. He put 100 dollars deposit on the bike and said he would return the following week to put another 500 dollars to complete the downpayment.

The next part comes as a shock to him. He went to the shop today to finalise the downpayment and to his suprise , the bike shop employee took the bike home as his own transport. The bike was not present at the time of visit.

Now my question to you guys is , is this a common practice? Do you guys think the employee did anything wrong? How would you guys feel if you were in the same position as my friend? What would your solution be?

if the mechanic uses it to test around the power i would understand uh
as in ride around the shop n giving customers a try
but to use it to go home as his on method of transport... Shocked
dat will make it a used bike man!
2nd hand stuff! Twisted Evil
if it were to happen to me i'll ask the price to be lowered down dude
either that or say buhbye to da deal Very Happy

bro, is it a new bike or 2nd hand bike?

altho either way it shud not have happened, but at least if its a 2nd hand bike its not as bad as a new bike being used like tat...who knows the employee 'race' in the street juz to test the power...

actually this kinda thing happened to a private seller before...so abit hard to get back the deposit and even CASE can't help with this...unless there is a blacknwhite that the $100 was placed as a deposit for the specific bike...tat might help log a case...

Yes , a receipt was issued. Im very puzzled at why the employee wants to take a "chope" bike back.

a tricky situation here ...

to a buyer ... even SGD1 (chope) deposit means that the bike is reserved and only deserved to be fcuked by him and him alone ...

to a bike shop ... that SGDxxxx (chope) amount means nothing ... unless full downpayment is made and transfer of ownership is done ... the bike still belongs to the bike shop ... they can rape the bike if they want too ... sad case huh? well its a fact ...

now the ball is in your fren's court (why lately suddenly a lot of my fren, my good friend, my gay friend etc. etc. here? frankly your friend needs a PC and a internet connection an start posting for themselves!) Evil or Very Mad

to buy or not too buy ... thats the question ...

FYI - my friend experience this before ... but not bike its a girl ...

so cut the BS story short ...

they didnt live happily ever after ...

Twisted Evil
