I only have some partial results and story here. I won't know everything that goes on, sitting in the pits. Didn't watch the Enduro, no clue there also.

Departing from singapore for the race: we have a full house 4 stroke yamaha line up. 3 WR400F, a YZ450F and a YZ250F. :rocking:

125 class: Congrats to Jsullivan on his YZ250F, holeshot all 3 motos and lead for as long as he could. Only 13 year old, I was really impressed. Jessie is 2nd overall. al amirul al sahid took first in all 3 motos on his CR125. Sorry, I have no idea who are the rest of the 125 class, too many good and fast riders I have never seen before.

250 Novice class: 1st al amirul al sahid-KX250, 2nd omar mazlan-YZ426F, 3rd aremean_troy-WR400, 4th nivek-WR400, 5th phillip freindrich-KTM250SX

250 Expert class: 1st M Chandran-CR250, 2nd Haslizam-RM250 3rd Buddy(Indonesian rider)-CR125? or CR250?, 4th Zamri-CR250, 5th Kied-WR400

For those who were there, please correct me if I got it wrong or just add on what went on. Mr. Green

UPDATED!!! some mistakes on the original post.

Next time we put the horns back on the bike. Then don't need to shout to each other during the race, huh? :argue:

Malaysians riders are a friendly lot....get to them all. Maybe we should visit him in Penang and have a couple of friendly rides with him huh?

Sorry I got to break this to you now. but before I forget....I just did the sums on the damage:

Riders: RM$108.5
Non-rider that was actually a spectator that double up as pit crew, security guard, part time driver, mechanic, photographer cum F & B manager: got slight discount....RM$93.5 (I absorb GST so.... RM$90 will do!)
This figure is for all tolls, diesel, hotel, petrol....includes the dinner with Chriss and Jessie.

I know I owe nivek 100rm for the race. Who paied for Sat dinner? Who paied Sun lunch?

Whoever paied for the drinks during the race - well... you shouldn't have....its free, if you get it from Mus' container :moon:

Payments can be made in Singapore dollars, Malaysian riggit or if cash is a problem I am willing to accept any '04 model MX bike larger than 125cc as a security deposit until payment in cash is made(please note that the bike may be tested for valuation purposes).

sorry about the late reply ... but just wanted to say thanks to Jessy for getting us through the double jumps... u riddin well man and even though jessy dont say that much to me but watching him ride gives me the confidence to clear those jumps... :rocking:

anyway good race guys and good results for the slackriders too... and team blue. Starting to really feel comfortable on the 426 and had a go on the wr250f and really had fun on it... cleared most of the jumps.. but missed the raw power of the 426..... decision time... 250f or 450... :bounce: ...

Thanks a lot guys, I really appreciate it. All slackers rode well too!

This is more of a column then a race report, but it's also my homework for english class, so here it is-

A couple of weeks before the race, I realised something. Motocross is all mental. Fortunately I do not have any disabilities, which means I am physically the same as James Stewart (MX Pro), as I have 2 arms, 2 legs, 2 eyes etc. The only difference is he is probably stronger then me and fitter. So what is stopping me from riding as fast as James? As I told you before, motocross is mental.

I knew before the race I had to do all the jumps, because if I didn't , I would be at a major disadvantage and I need every advantage I can get. So I told myself I'd do all the jumps after 2 laps, which I done to a certain extent. Theoretically, if you have good entry speed and you are accelerating on the face of a jump, you will clear the jump, how much you clear it depends on your speed. That theory eliminated my biggest fear, which is casing a jump. Another theory, sitting around looking at a jump will not help you much for clearing the jump. So I put those 2 theories into place, and done all the jumps after approximately half an hour. I will stand by these theories for the rest of my life, unless I see a jump which is out of my limit.

So for this race, and for the first time in my life, I told myself I would focus 100% while I was riding. These are the things I told myself while I rode-

*Hold the throttle for as long as possible before the corner (This was my main focus)
*Accelerate as soon as possible out of corners, keeping the throttle smooth
*Grip the bike with your knees
*Find new lines

That was all I had for this race, but this will expand as I continue riding. Unfortunately, I have an incredibly short attention span, and I was only able to think about my list for the start and the first 4-5 laps, which is the reason why I was riding so well for that period of time. After those 4-5 laps, my mind would start to wander off, wondering why my arms were pumping up, wondering why I had blisters, wondering what we were going to have for dinner that night.

Concluding this piece of writing, I will now practice keeping my focus, whether it is in class or on the race track. Focus is all mental, and motocross is mental, so it should make me a faster rider, and if I become a faster rider, I won't need my english skills in the near future.

Jesse #6

Thanks again guys!
I promise you I will ride better the next race!
