Thanks for the reply sirhc_gnob.

I guess I would leave the fender as it is. I'm not too comfortable with cutting of the subframe too. May I know what after market fork are you using?
Keeping my options open to after-market parts. Smile

Thanks again for the bike shop recommendation.

hi bros, might be getting a xr200, check with u guys:

are parts of xr200 easily found? or hard becoz its getting old?

exterior parts like the plastics, tail, headlight, handguard etc easily available?
or are those parts universal to all scrams? if im getting a xr200, gonna spend some money changing the outlook.

new to scrams. used to ride a sp in the past. thanks for the inputs!

izzit actually possible to convert xr200 into this look? the tail and the plastics. thanks!

Hi bro, how much did you spend including parts?
Looks like a massive mod.

Anyone change to after market carb?
Was thinking since i want to do servicing and clean the carb, might as well change a after-market carb.

Hi before dumping money to mod the bike ,maybe you like to look thru the previous pages of this thread ,it will give you an idea of how XR2 performs and what basic mod it needs for it to run well .

the previous owner did the mod. so i don't know the exact cost. but i'm thinking it would have cost around 800-1000 to do.

if you really want a straight tail, u can try getting a crf 06 tail no need to cut subframe, please never ever ever cut the subframe.... but if you use a crf 06 tail, you need to cut the "brand new" tail and alter the seat.. i recommend doing it at 219... but it is pretty ex

219 is at lavender rd...
sirhc_gnob: erm i made the mistake of getting my tail done at 2 diff places... erm, i bought my tail at chong aik for 55, then i got it cut and installed at unique for 40 <- cheap but workmanship wasnt excellent... i then had to get my seat cut and rewrapped at 219 for 130... really ex altogether... it would have been much cheaper to get it all done at once at 219...

poseidon: you still have to bring your own tail to 219 if you wanna do there. chong aik sells for abt 55, get an '06 tail, not the '04 ones
and do not get the crf-x tail, it has some extra stuff that would not fit under your seat.

btw... it the straight tail does not hold up as well as the stock off road... the tail itself holds up fine, but i lost my signal lights when i went trailling after the tail mod...

Hi XR200ers, can you guys share your sprocket ratio?

Riding the xr2 at 100km/h seems like the whole engine is breaking apart.
Moreover, there is no RPM meter. So Im not sure if Im killing the engine riding at high rpm for long time.
