For all you budding singapore supercrossers planning to take part in this w/ends malacca sx,just to let you know the track is located 100 metres after the ayer keroh toll gates on the right hand side of the road. The track has been expertly designed and built by local johore mxer mr zac muri, and he's done an excellent job (i saw the track today). The schedule is for registration, practise nd clinic on sat (5th),and racing from 10am on sun (6th).There is a resort (ayer keroh country resort) 2kms from the track offering special rates for slackriders (rm75/night),or there is plenty of other accom at nearby malacca,or the a'famosa water park.Looking forward to the usual big slackrider turnout!! :cheer:

Well, we got there on Saturday at about lunchtime. We practiced a bit and got all the jumps dialed in. Then we had a briefing to decide what heat we would race in. I got stuck in group B, which was undoubtedly the harder of the 2 groups. Went back to hotel for a swim & then for dinner at a seafood restaurant that served the biggest damn orange juices I've ever seen. The cups were about a foot high Shocked
We woke up early the next day and had Macdonalds for breakfast, the breakfast of champions. We then had a quick practice & got prepped up for the race. I wasnt really paying attention to the Group A race, so I can't really report on that. I was pretty nervous about my race, as qualifying would be tough. I holeshotted of course, since I'm riding a yamaha, and lead for about 2 laps. Chandran (#2) & Mike tyson (amirule#19) got passed me and then I crashed while coming third. I got back started again at about eighth & quickly passed two riders. luckily for
me, richard (#21)crashed on the last lap and I got up to 5th. To qualify for the final, you have to finish in the top 5. Heat 2 was de ja vu, with me holeshotting again and leading for about a lap. I settled in at fourth place and just rode smart for the rest of the race. Then it was time for the final, the holeshot of course went to a Yamaha (Omar #27) and I was following closely in third. Chandran passed me straight away and in the third corner i stalled my bike
I started again way back in about 10th & quickly passed some guys to move me up to 6th. On the last lap I crashed right after the whoops and got up and finished in 8th. I was pretty disappointed about it, as I knew I could have finished in the top 5.
