Hi thinking of changing my main stand to side stand..

Had anyone change before...

What are the pros and cons..

Any mod needed, example welding of what...

Whats the price?

Thanks for the input.

The only reasonable pros and cons i can think about is ...

- when u have main stand , its easier to lube your chain .

- you wont need a jack to hold your bike when u remove the rear wheel

No mods needed , just buy the side stand and DIY if u wanna save money ..

For price , can call Ideal to check...

cheers..

i think side stand makes more sense if you wanna go offroad. parking in trail is much easier. While on dirt track, doing jumps, the side stand wont bounce up and down like the main stand would... the side stand is also easy to remove and store.

just my thoughts

You are absolutely right but just trying to help him save money mah.
It is not a necessity to have one. I also using main stand, wanted to change side stand but it's too costly so i just bear with it.

I think the side stand costs about 130 (pls correct me if im wrong, cant really rem). I changed the main to side stand. Find it very convenient, unless you like to do your own maintenance. Stablity wise is ok. But it's true that it's not necessary. No mods required, just bolt on.
