Hey everyone, you missed a good weekend of racing , the track was very technical with some big doubles , whoops, table tops and a tricky step up. Saturday practice was delayed due to the weather or the track being muddy, we waited to late in the afternoon then got out and tore it up some. Sunday was a different story it rained! A lot ! and the whole track changed into a mud pit, the corners felt like they had been made out of ice and you had to be very careful with the throttle control and brakes. Anyway Pierre made the difficult conditions look easy and I think it is fair to say that he wasnt challenged the whole day with 3 comfortable wins. perhaps if it had been drier then things might have been different. With the mud sticking to the bike i started to think i was riding a Harley Davidson due to the weight, in this type of condidtions its very easy to become demoralised and give up especially if you fall off and have to pick the bike up a few times. I dont think anyone really enjoys the mud so well done to all who tried. Needless to say the whole event was organised and run perfectly , thank you SIC
I have monkey but today, not nice!
Next moto is Singapore!
Excited?
hell yeah!

Some results:
Expert MX - Pierre 1st, Gaban 2nd, Amir 3rd, Fuad 4th, Zack Muri 5th...
Vet open - M Chrandran 1st, Zack Muri 2nd, Criss 3rd.....
Trail open - Frank(Funtime) 1st, Richard 2nd.....(Kied fell in moto2 DNF & DNS moto3, Keith 411en DNF moto1 & DNS the rest, Richard broke ankle after moto 2 - DNS)
Novice MX - I'm not sure of all the names.....but some 85cc rider kicks everyone's ass!! Aremean didn't race
Gabit 1st (junior 85cc rider), Fareez Borhanudin 2nd, Amir 3rd, Fuad 4th, Hairi Zakaria 5th
Funtime Jr - fell a couple of time in moto2. DNS moto3.
Thanks to Criss for letting all of us crash-in on Friday night at you house. When we got to the track, it looked promising and there were 5 big tabletops. The conditions were already bad.....looking like a wet clay/mud race. On Sat qualifying, everyone waited till last min at about 5pm to practise as the sun was drying out the track. Pierre nailed the thriple jump when it was almost dark as his speed secret for the next day. We packed and loaded in the dark. Headed for nice dinner and drinks. Thanks to YZFer for letting us use your house to shower and sleep on Sat!!
Then the heavens opened and Rain came down for moto2. The whole track was like riding on grease. I spin the rear wheel up a tabletop alittle too much and it went sideways...highsided myself upon landing and knocked the wind out of myself. I don't even have strength to re-start the bike. Washed and loaded bike after moto2.
Today: I can't cough, sneeze or fart without getting a sharp pain in my ribs. Not nice!
Surprise Birthday party for M. Chrandran at the podium. He is 50 years old and still racing MX. He got his birthday song, bithday cake.....and 1st place on the top podium. Very Cool rider and very nice of race organisors to go the extra mile for their riders!!
Next month: Singapore MX round!!

Even if our next race is a mud bath you need to get on the line, its the same for everybody and even if you hate it you should take the opportunity to ride in the mud as it can only help your riding skills. Some riders who dont normally do well in the drier conditions do really well in the mud.Dont want hear any Lady Boy excuses about not riding, you ride dirt bikes, mud is dirt! Dirt is GOOD!

Gabit is the 85cc rider who wins Novice MX class, younger brother of Gaban? Amir riding a CRF450 is 3rd in Novice MX and Expert MX.
OMG!!!!! So am I right to say that IF Gabit HAD race his 85cc in the Expert MX class.....he should get 3rd place??? btw, Pierre was riding a brand new RMZ450 in the expert class!!

Yes,bummer about the rain.Saturday after practise everybody was feeling better after the track had dried out,and managed to clear most of the jumps.Sunday morning and our (my?) worst fears when it started pissing down as the first lot of motos started, turning the track into a skating rink.Pierre made it look easy and won all 3 expert motos convincingly on a very unforgiving track.Bad luck story of the day went to richard, who after a determined win in the 1st trail moto, crashed badly over the finish double in the vet race and broke both his ankles.
Anyway, congrats to funtime on his first big win in malaysia (hope it doesn't go to his head!),and good to see the singapore riders (and support crew) participating!

Have to agree with chris... was really good to see the slackriders make a good turnout... i guess this means there are no excuses for us eh chris for not going to singapore mx weekend!! hehehe
anyway apart from the rain it was a good weekend and will fix my 125 up and train my clutch hand double time for the ...clutch fanning...heheh. Was really tempted to go out and race especially after we went out on friday and cleared the doubles with chris. Its really hard sometimes to be the organiser..but someones gotta do it.
ok then see u guys in singapore on the start line!! NO EXCUSES!
