Can sign up at DW anytime from today

CLASS RACE TIME
Experts 2Hrs

Intermediates....toughen up, the knight brothers went to Ipoh last month and showed that they can ride against the experienced malaysian riders and beat them, so you too will have a harder ride this time but still easy.

Novice & Juniors.....grow up and enter the intermediates would ya! Nice track that will give you a challenge but with plenty of places to sit down and get a rest.

All classes, expect a bit of mud now, new tyres will be a huge help. Waterproof your ignition covers and check your brake pads. Bike shops help out the riders by offering a discount please just like that shop does.

This is the 2nd of at least 5 Rounds, You are racing for a CHAMPIONSHIP in your respective category.

Hi! I've never raced before but for the benefit of other newbies out there who want to try out racing, can I post it here? Anyways, I got several qns:

1. Do we have to race throughout the series? I didn't join the first one though.
2. From what has been written, I assume non MSSC members can join. Are there other fees that we have to pay? (e.g. insurance)
3. Err.. I know it's a noobie question but: what's the format like for enduro? Let's say I join the novice class. We clock as many laps in 1.5 hours?
4. Any mech support? (in case tyre blows or anything, or do we have to bring our own tools n parts)

Looks interesting man and Nusajaya's not far. I'm not really a fast rider, but just want to experience it and see if enduro racing's my cup of tea. Any other newbies interested?

Hi SOPS, I try and answer your questions below.

1. Do we have to race throughout the series? I didn't join the first one though...........FT: No you can ride any event you want.

2. From what has been written, I assume non MSSC members can join. Are there other fees that we have to pay?..FT:Yes non MSSC member will pay a bit more, see orginal post for cost of entry.

3. Err.. I know it's a noobie question but: what's the format like for enduro? Let's say I join the novice class. We clock as many laps in 1.5 hours? ....FT: If you are in the Novice class you will ride 1.5hrs the winner is the rider who does the most laps in the time.

4. Any mech support? (in case tyre blows or anything, or do we have to bring our own tools n parts)...FT there are lots of riders with tools and spares, nobody gets left stranded and everybody will help in fixing your bike, thats been the case since day one and even taking your bike and you home is not a problem.

Looks interesting man and Nusajaya's not far. I'm not really a fast rider, but just want to experience it and see if enduro racing's my cup of tea. Any other newbies interested?.........FT: This event is organised to get new riders active in the sport, the experts are a side show, the heart of all of the racing is in the Novice and intermediates. Its not about winning its about taking part and enjoying yourself, learning to ride properly and doing something all of your mates wish they could do!

No sweat mate, the date 16th of May is confirmed & not going to change so get leave approved and go show your buddies your back tyre!

You can also ride Saturday to get yourself familiar with the track layout ( will be different from last round)

WHoa! Thanks funtime for the prompt and comprehensive response. One more qn. what's the sign up night for? 70 bucks for race fee is reasonable, seeing that I've paid the same amount for cycling and running events. (I'm not that fit ah.. i'm just a 90kg guy who loves sports.)

So far, it looks good man.. I'm not sure if I can last 1.5 hours of hard riding. Ride a bit hard in TM after a few minutes pancit already. Haha! But hey, like I said, I don't care if I get last. It's just for the experience and getting my butt off my comfort zone and "move on" in this sport.

Rochor, read from previous posts that you ride in Nusa quite often. Would love to join u man, but can we do it on a Sunday? I ride mtb on saturdays (I can try to arrange with my mtb kakis). PM me ur number? Would like to taste the terrain there man.

Lastly, besides fried, are there any newbies that wanna join this too? The more the merrier! I think I got to start running and do bench press with my bike..

Hi SOPS
Sign up night is an organised meeting where we all get together and fill in the rider entry form and pay the entry fee. This helps us with planning the event such as booking one or two ambulances etc and also shows support from the riders for the event. More importantly once we have all the names and details we can enter all the data into our race scoring system which makes it very easy to register the riders and score on race day.

We typically will not accept entry on the morning of the event as it creates a lot of extra work and can cause confusion later.

Scoring is done by a software package as used by dozens of other clubs. Last event was the first time it was used and it worked well, it also identified he cheaters who protested at first but then withdrew once shown the evidence. You are stirring the wrong pot boy
