Hi all,

Just bought a Ktm 450. Everything was fine. Bike crank up every time. But now e bike will only crank up after u press a few times. Change e battery still e same. Only can here a click sound under e sit n it will crank slowly. Eventually start up.

Any knowledge guys?? Thanks

Service ur eletric starter .... To confirm whether ur starter spoil is when u press the e -start knock on the starter if it sounds as per norm then confirm plus chop starter need servicing price is about 80 could be less could be more

Hw do they service the e-start bro? As what will they do?

Bro thats the tell tale sign the starter need to be service...

Servicing of starter they will remove take out the coil brush clean or sand down clean and add new carbon... Usually its the carbon finish.. Or water seep into the carbon hence making the carbon wiring burn n short curcuit...

Any advice on who does such a service? I guess I have the same problem on my Hornet.

just change starter carbon... most shop does

How much is e stator carbon for ktm4? Or all e same price?

Lutfi, seems e starter is back to normal. After e long ride on Sunday, it all ok now. I guess e battery is not charged enough to start e bike. Will check again at Holeshot end of this month during e oil change

+- 40-60 bucks only...

I having the same problem for my 2006 450SX, Purchased new e-starter complete set parts, only once time it's work after newly installed by mechanic, even i changed the bigger battery still connot use the e-stater, anyone can help ?
