Well, seems like thats the only way out if the auto tensioner keep giving problem. . . most DRZs are doing that i guess.

Yup, seems mine having same symptoms as yours. . . either the coil spring inside become weak after some time or the internal threaded 'screw' thingy worn, causing extra friction.
